My own founder journey.
I've spent nearly 25 years in the global fashion and retail industries working with brands and businesses of every size, as a senior leader, as a founder, and as a fractional executive.
I spent the first 15 years of my career in brand, retail and marketing leadership roles for global outdoor brands and major fashion retailers across Australia, Asia Pacific the UK and Europe, including French Connection, Ozmosis, Just Group, and global trade marketing director at Quiksilver, Roxy and DC.
For the last ten years since leaving the major brands to build something of my own, I've run a homewares, travel & lifestyle brand Nouvelle Nomad between my bases of Marrakech, Melbourne and more recently London.
When I took the entrepenurial leap many people thought I'd disappeared into a creative passion project and spent all my time travelling. But all that time I was working harder than ever behind the scenes building my ecommerce engine from scratch in the early days of Shopify and growing a loyal customer base of sustainable design lovers.
Over the years we’ve shipped thousands of hand-restored vintage carpets, artisan made ceramics and travel goods into homes around the world. Battled with the logistics and hard won lessons of global importing & exporting and international trade, nurtured long standing supplier and artisan relationships across continents, built the financial systems of a self-funded P&L, opened large format retail showrooms and pop-ups, and collaborative partnerships with loved Australian brands, and retailers. Giving back to local charities, environmental causes and non-profits along the way.
That decade has taught me more about running an international business and brand than any corporate role before it could.
Alongside that, I've been supporting other founder-led brands with their next stage of international expansion and growth, across a wide range of verticals and business structures, growing my industry contacts, knowledge base and technical skills along the way.

I recently hosted a Business & Brand Strategy workshop for a diverse group of female founders and entrepreneurs for the Hey Sister Festival in Marrakech, Morocco.
Over 2 hours we worked through aligning their big vision, goals and priorities for their business & brand, mapping out a go-to-market plan for the year ahead.
