I’m Bridget John
Business & brand builder, startup advisor, multi-passionate founder and entrepreneur.
🌏 Aussie based in London, with home bases in Melbourne and Marrakech.
I’ve spent the last 20+ years living, working and building ventures of all sizes around the world. Setting up homes, creating spaces and communities from my home town of Melbourne, to London, to the Basque Coast of France and Morocco.
I spent the first 15 years of my career working for global lifestyle brands and major fashion retailers across Australia, Asia Pacific, the UK and Europe.
Including previously Global Trade Marketing Director at Quiksilver, Roxy & DC - the iconic surf, skate and outdoor lifestyle brands with a global presence in APAC, EMEA the Americas and emerging markets.
Leading go-to-market strategy, teams and operations, opening flagship retail concept stores, launching global brand campaigns, managing multi-million dollar trade and retail marketing programs, and rolling out business transformation projects - Globally, regionally and locally.
Before that I held leadership roles in VM, brand and retail marketing management for 20-200+ door major fashion retailers like Just Jeans, Ozmosis and French Connection back in the good old booming retail days (Before fast fashion and ecommerce took over the world)
🌏 A traveller at heart with an entrepreneurial spirit
In 2016 I took the entrepreneurial leap to start my brand consultancy, and launched Nouvelle Nomad - a sustainability led homewares, travel and lifestyle brand and ecommerce retailer based between Marrakech, Morocco and Melbourne, Australia.
It’s been a wild ride over the last 8 years building a business from the ground up, creating a life across borders, and working with some incredible people and brands along the way.
While my background is in big brands and major international retailers, my heart lies in purpose driven business, deep immersive travel experiences, and helping founder led startups to build, launch, scale and grow their adventurous ideas.
My startup mentoring and advisory services are for the creatives, the visionary founders and the entrepreneurs who have gone against the grain, and out on a limb to build their own thing.
And my fractional brand leadership services are for helping established businesses and brands to launch something new, scale globally, or grow into new regions and markets.
Giving back to environmental causes and non-profits along the way with my membership with 1% for the Planet - I prioritise working with businesses that are challenging the norm and leading change in their field.
